COVID-19 Announcements
BOWLS CANADA – Ottawa, ON – March 19, 2020
In consideration of the impact of the COVID-19 virus – and in line with advice from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), the Bowls Canada Board has made the decision to cancel all Bowls Canada sanctioned events for the 2020 season. This includes the National Championships and Para Bowls Champs.
It is understood that should the current social distancing restrictions continue into the summer, this will have an impact on clubs and provincial associations. We are focused on working with our provincial associations to provide support through 2020 so that the sport as a whole is in a viable position to open our doors and welcome Canadians fully in 2021.
Bowls Canada will be waiving its fees for the 2020 season. More details at Facebook link
Indoor Bowling at Tommy Prince – Management of the facility has withdrawn the availability of the gym until further notice, for health reasons.
League Information for 2020:
It’s time to form teams for the 2020 season. Entry fee per player is $30 – collected only from the team’s skip. Individuals not yet in a team may get assistance from Elaine Jones or Jerome Kirby. Email: Bison Bowls for more information. This is just for the FOURS league (so far), and games will commence May 7th – being Thursdays only – in a Single or Double Round-Robin format.
